This fall, PSBAA is celebrating 35 years of protecting and promoting public education in Alberta. We are so proud of the work our members do and how far this organization has come. We are honored to announce that this years Lois Hole Dinner speaker is named one of the 100 Influential Edmontonians of the Century, Sandra B Woitas. We would like to celebrate this milestone at the 2024 Lois Hole Dinner by providing a silent auction with all proceeds going directly to the Lois Hole Hospital for Women. PSBAA is asking its members if they know of a company/organization that would like to donate items for this auction, or if members personally would like to contribute an item as well. If so, please contact communications@public-schools.ab.ca ASAP. We would like to start collection donations now with the deadline for items to be collected by October 1st, 2024!

We are happy to announce that we will once again be heading to the Mayfield Dinner Theatre on Thursday evening for a rendition of Musicians Gone Wild: Nashville Music City. Nashville: Music City shines a neon light on the artists and songs that gave the city it’s nickname. With just a suitcase, those infamous three chords and the truth, superstars like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban and (yes, even) Taylor Swift all hit that honky-tonk highway of country music dreams, and look where it led them.

On Friday, we will hold our Annual General Meeting for our members to vote on important decisions. Diana Bacon will attend as our Parliamentarian, keeping us on the right track!
